Gorilla and Chimp tracking
Gorilla and chimp tracking in Uganda offers a truly life changing experience. Private visits and forest walks are a moving, awesome and exciting adventure. Whilst tracking Gorilla you may also be lucky enough to see many of the other primates living in the forest, such as the black and white colobus monkey, blue monkey mangabey and golden monkey. The forest is also home to a huge variety of bird and wildlife, which we're sure you will enjoy seeing en-route.
Your tracking day will begin with a briefing at the headquarters and meeting your guide for the day. It is critical that no human illnesses are passed to the primates during your visit so your health will be assessed on the day - if you have a cold or flu like symptoms you may be unable to view the primates on that particular day. The tracking can range from one hour to several hours depending on the location of the primates, so appropriate clothes and footwear are essential, along with a general level of fitness. Viewing it limited to 1hour only.
Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park and Nyungwe National Park are also excellent areas for viewing these amazing primates. Guides will provide detailed tours not only on primates but on all aspects of forest life and it's residents large and small.
